About Me

I am a professionally-trained integrative counsellor, registered and accredited member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), working within their ethical framework. I offer counselling to individuals from all backgrounds aged 12+

Throughout my life, I've always held a keen interest in understanding people, their unique journeys, and the diverse experiences that shape them.

I have found myself gravitating towards roles which see me working in supportive positions, from youth work and volunteering in organisations where people are going through challenging times. Before I became a counsellor, I worked for 10 years supporting children and families at times of significant stress in a statutory setting.

I recognised that I valued being able to sit with people through these stressful times and life-changing events and how much being listened to helped them. This led to me developing my career and retraining to become a counsellor. I began my clinical work in 2018. I love what I do and consider it a privilege to sit alongside each of my clients and be part of their story, whether briefly or for an extended period of time.

How I practice:

As an Integrative Counsellor with a person-centred philosophy, I wholeheartedly embrace the idea that each individual is unique and deserving of personalised attention. My counselling approach is tailored to meet the specific needs of each client, ensuring they have a confidential, non-judgmental, and secure space to navigate through their challenges. Building a strong and trusting relationship with my clients lies at the heart of our therapeutic journey together.

Throughout our counselling sessions, we will explore creative ways to make the process effective and suitable for you. I will be there to provide guidance and support, helping to establish a safe and therapeutic environment that fosters a positive and fulfilling counselling experience.  I love working with clients to explore solutions, charting new paths, and discovering a renewed sense of self and purpose. As clients take their initial steps forward, they often find themselves feeling less trapped by the past, less hindered by fears of the future, and more empowered to embrace positive change in their lives.

I work with people from all walks of life and backgrounds, coming to me with a diverse range of problems. My practice is inclusive and welcoming to people of all ethnicities, nationalities, abilities, religious affiliations, spiritual practices, political opinions, sexual orientation, body shape, gender identity and ages.

As an experienced, fully qualified counsellor, and accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, I abide by their code of ethics. I am fully insured, registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) and have a DBS check every 3 years.

I offer counselling to individuals from all backgrounds aged 12+.
